There is no cure for HNPP. But that does not mean that some symptoms cannot be treated. It can be very difficult to find physicians who have ever heard of HNPP. If you and your doctor feel you need to see a physician, who as experience in HNPP, you will probably need to look to the larger Universities. This may very well mean driving for hours to see a doctor.
If driving for hours is not feasible, then work with your family doctor and learn about HNPP together.
The following is a list of physicians who are expereinced with HNPP and can help with patient education and treating symptoms, as they arise. This list only contains names of doctors who have been contacted and agreed to let their names be published here. The list is woefully incomplete.
If you are a physician and would like to have your name added to the list or if you are a person with HNPP and know of a physician to add, please contact me.Maureen Horton
